About Floating Sky Project

Ciel & Terre has been granted with the Innovation Fund for its FLOATING SKY project The Floating Sky project was selected along with 18 other projects in the field of renewable energies selected through the Innovation Fund financing mechanism of the European Commission.

What is Floating Sky project? Floating Sky is the code name of a Ciel & Terre’s pilot for a brand new, disruptive floating solar technology, which is lightweight, durable and designed for easy installation (commercial or  industrial scales), even in remote areas. Most importantly, this new technology will make floating solar more accessible by diminishing the LCOE.

Boosting floating solar thanks to the Innovation Fund The support from the Innovation Fund will enable FLOATING SKY to contribute to the large-scale deployment of clean energy production systems across Europe, thanks to its innovative floating solar technology. Q&A

What will happen to Floating Sky
project when its 3 first years of
operation come to and end?
The project will stay in place and its monitoring may continue.

How is this Floating Sky project made possible? Floating Sky is developed under TISOL  SPV, created to develop this specific solar project. SPV is a standard structuring to develop project in the field of renewable energy. The project is subsidied by the Innovation Fund, animated by CINEA, and designed and supplied by C&T.

CINEA
(European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency) Entity from European commission  established in 2021 to implement parts of certain EU programmes, especially supporting the EU Green Deal.
Ciel & Terre
French floating solar pioneering company with more than 14 years of experience in the industry, with a trackrecord of more than 330 FPV projects installed worldwide, equivalent to more than 1.3 GWp.
